Duties / Responsibilities	MECHANIC Responsibilities Service and maintain medium and heavy-duty trucks and mounted hydraulic equipment Maintain service documentation records and complete reports of work performed Review work orders and establish priorities with Garage Foreman Ensure the schedule for vehicle and equipment repairs are fulfilled as assigned Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and electric systems Continuously learn in welding, fabricating, and grinding, and gas and electric systems Perform all duties in compliance with all policies, procedures and safety regulations Maintain a valid driver’s licence to pick up, deliver and test vehicles Qualifications and Requirements Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working on heavy duty trucks or heavy-duty equipment Valid Driver’s Licence – Driver Abstract will be requested High School Diploma required Required to provide own tools Related Technical Trade 310T Certificate is preferred though apprentices are also eligible Knowledge of utility equipment is an asset Hydraulic experience is an asset Welding experience is an asset Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of heavy equipment, trucks and trailers Accuracy diagnosing mechanical issues Able to work independently and as part of a team Cleanliness in working environment Excellent problem-solving skills as it relates to trucks and equipment Strong communication skills
