- Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and automation an asset
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills
- Track record of effectively managing and developing performing teams
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization
- Proficiency in French and English

Duties / Responsibilities |
- Day + Afternoon shift rotation
- Coordinate and oversee all tasks associated with production for the extrusion facility including extrusion, stretching, cutting, aging, packaging, quality assurance
- Manage day-to-day operations of profiles manufactured through an automated aluminum extrusion press facility
- Manage and meet production requirements and targets within budget
- Manage resources equipment and tools to enable production requirements to be met
- Ensure machinery and equipment are of a set standard to enable production targets to be met for as that set for the day-to-day operations
- Maintain equipment and tools
- Ensure facilities are maintained to industry standards including equipment maintenance, repairs and upgrades
- Support production staff and foster a culture of excellence, accountability and collaboration
- Identify production issues that require enhancing to improve efficiencies and reduce costs
- Maintain QA protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations such as ASTM E8, E10, E18 and ASTM B221
- Participate in cross-functional meetings, provide insights and recommendations to improve business operations
- Establish a safe work environment and mitigate potential hazards so workplace is safe for all employees
- Comply with laws, regulations, operational standards (ISO) and company policies
- Enforce and train employees in safety practices, procedures, etc. and keep employees abreast of any operational and industry changes
- Engage in regular informal safety conversations
