Position Quality Engineer - Whitby
Job Type Permanent
Education
  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering preferred but will consider others)
  • 3 yrs+ experience as a Quality Engineer
  • Able to develop, write and implement Quality Assurance Systems and Procedures
  • Knowledge of AIAG Core tools (PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC, PFMEA, etc.)
  • Knowledge of OEE and TPM component metrics
  • Ability to clearly communicate and train employees on quality program standards
  • Able to work day shift and be available for off shift QA training of employees on occasion
  • Computer literate (MS Office, Outlook)
Duties / Responsibilities
  • Support the Quality Assurance program designed to ensure defect-free solutions for customers
  • Take a hands-on approach to implementing and maintaining the Quality Assurance system
  • Assist with internal audits per audit plan and re-certification audits for ISO 14001
  • Assist with company quality system to ensure all quality activities are standardized
  • Develop and maintain PFMEAs, CP and F/O forms including Standard Operating Procedures for Quality Assurance
  • Ensure employees are complying with company QA standards
  • Contribute to operational excellence initiatives such as OEE, TPM, first rate product quality, safety, ease of use, cost changeover times
  • Root cause analysis

Pay Range $65K to $80K + benefits
